How to Register Your U.S. Agent for Service on the FAA USAS Portal — 2026 Guide

How to register U.S. Agent for Service on FAA USAS Portal - Step by step guide 2026

If you hold an FAA certificate with a foreign address, you must designate a U.S. Agent for Service on the official FAA USAS portal. Here’s exactly how to do it in under 15 minutes.

What You Need Before You Start

Have these ready before you log in:

  • Your FAA certificate number
  • Your FAA login (same as IACRA or MedXpress)
  • Your U.S. Agent’s name, U.S. address, email and phone number

If you’ve signed up with USA FAA Service Agent, we send all these details to you by email.

How to register your U.S. Agent for Service on the FAA USAS portal in under 15 minutes.

  1. Step 1 — Go to the Portal

Visit usas.faa.gov — the only official FAA portal for this registration.

  2. Step 2 — Sign In

Use your existing FAA credentials — the same login as IACRA or MedXpress. No FAA account yet? Create one at iam.faa.gov first.

  3. Step 3 — Find U.S. Agent for Service

Once logged in, click on “U.S. Agent for Service” in your dashboard.

  4. Step 4 — Enter Your Agent’s Details

Fill in your agent’s full name, physical U.S. street address, email and phone number. Note — P.O. Boxes are not accepted.

  5. Step 5 — Review and Submit

Double check everything — especially the address and email. Then click Submit.

  6. Step 6 — You’re Done!

You’ll receive a confirmation on screen and by email. You only need to do this on ONE FAA portal — IACRA, MedXpress or USAS. Not all three.

  7. Step 7 — Notify Your Agent

Email your agent to confirm you’ve registered. If you’re with us, email contact@usafaaserviceagent.com with your name and FAA certificate number.

3 Important Reminders

  • If your agent changes, update the FAA within 30 days
  • The USAS portal is still open in 2026 — register now even if you missed the July 2025 deadline
  • Use Google Chrome for best compatibility

Can’t Log In? Reset your password at iam.faa.gov or call FAA help on 1-800-209-8798.

What Happens After Registration?

Once registered, your agent becomes your official FAA point of contact. Any FAA notices or legal documents will be sent to them and forwarded to you in real time.
